New NALC Website Launched – Change in Login Arrangements for Members

Close up of a hands on a laptop keyboard. The National Association of Local Councils (NALC) has this week launched its new website, and BATPC member councils need to be aware that the login arrangements in order to access member resources and information has changed.

The new website is intended to provide easy access to resources for member councils, with an upgraded search function designed to make finding what you are looking for easier.  The key change in respect of accessing those resources is that rather than using a county-wide username and password, councillors, clerks and council staff members of parish or town councils in membership will now use the members’ version of the site via their own personal account.

There is a guide to the new website and how to begin using it on the NALC website here, including the following instructions on how to create your account and start using the new site as a member:

  1. Visit www.nalc.gov.uk/login.html
  2. Enter your name, email address and create a password.
  3. Verify your email address.
  4. Set your contact preferences (tip: select email and join the NALC news list).
  5. Select your county association, council and role.
  6. Agree to our Privacy Notice and Terms of Use.

If you need help creating your account, NALC HAS created a video tutorial to guide you through the process. If you need more information or further guidance, please use NALC’s contact form.
