Parish Clerk – Proper Officer and Responsible Financial Officer, Sharnbrook Parish Council:

The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational and computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook), be a good communicator and should be CiLCA qualified or willing to study for this qualification within 12 months.
Knowledge of a financial package such as EasyPC or equivalent would be advantageous.
Council meetings are held eleven times a year (every month but August) usually on the second Tuesday of the month at the Methodist Church in Sharnbrook at 7.45pm. Further committee meetings are:
Amenities – every two months, usually a Wednesday the week after full council.
Planning – monthly, usually first Tuesday of the month.
Finance and General Purposes (F&GP) – approximately quarterly.
The job includes preparing agendas, minutes and reports, as well as handling the
correspondence, enquiries and finance. Hours are 20 hrs per week, which will include day and evening meetings. The hours can be flexible, although attendance at meetings is required.
Salary scale in accordance with LC scales, depending upon experience. The successful applicant will be required to work from the Parish Office.

The Parish has a population of about 2,300, and has an annual precept of approximately £67,000. There are 13 Parish Councillor places, and the Parish Council currently consists of 12 councillors with one vacancy.
